Mount Everest is the tallest mountain on Earth at sea level, with 8848 [1] m. It is located in the Himalayas in Asia, and marks the border between Nepal and China. In Nepal is called Sagarmatha (the forehead of the sky) and China Chomolungma or Qomolangma Feng (mother of the universe). Everest The mountain was named after Sir George Everest, British surveyor general of India in 1865.
